Minan have a pan-China insurance license that means any policies bought through them will be fully compliant with Chinese regulatory guidelines. Furthermore, the partnership between Minan and NowHealth give clients access to Now Health's expansive insurance network, providing quality medical coverage throughout the rest of the world.

You must submit below documents within 90 days after the medical services have been rendered to NOW in order to process your claim.

• All medical documents such as Physician’s summary and/or medical records.
• Fully completed claim form.
• All receipts such as Fapiao, Invoices, medical expense receipts.

Notes

• Invoices must be issued with the Patient’s name.
• Claims over RMB 3,000, NOW require original documents to be sent to their Shanghai Office.
• Turnaround time: Claims will be processed within 10 working days from the receipt of claims.
• Payment time: Eligible claims will be paid within 5 working days after the claim been settled.

Certain treatment requires prior approval from insurer so they can issue an advance payment
guarantee to the hospital. Such as following treatments:

• MRI, CT or PET scans
• All in-patient, daycare treatment AND out-patient surgery
• Chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment (Please refer to your policy guide for more information)
• Non-Emergency cases - Please contact NOW immediately after treatment is prescribed. You must provide all below information at least 5 days before the treatment date.

Once the treatment is Authorised, NOW will issue GOP (guarantee of payment) directly to the hospital enabling you to receive the treatment with no out of pocket expense.

You would just need to pay any relevant excess/deductible/copayment chosen

Please note

If pre-authorization is not obtained and treatment is received and is subsequently proven not to be medically necessary, we reserve the right to decline your claim.

If treatment is medically necessary, but you did not obtain pre-authorization, we will pay only up to 80% of the eligible benefits.
