Ping An Insurance Company of China is an insurance, investment and banking company established and headquartered in Shenzen. In 2005 the company formed Ping An Health Insurance, a specialised arm of the larger Ping An group. This entity entered into a joint venture with South Africa's largest insurer, Discovery, in 2010. The result has been a local health insurer in China that has a large global network, making them able to provide greater coverage to clients who travel globally.
